Core Values.
Our culture will be created by people who are committed to live out our Team Values. These values will not just be what we talk about, but how we act toward one another and toward God. We will fiercely protect our culture and strive to grow in the culture every time we are together. We will call out what is out of place and hold each other accountable. We will seek to include new people to our team continually and see the Lord grow our family.
Christ-Centered.
It all begins with Christ because this is where our faith is grounded, where salvation begins, and where our hope lies. We must find our identity in Christ and refuse to seek identity in any other role, position, or label. There is perhaps nothing more dangerous to a follower of Christ than misplaced identity because you can never fully hear what God speaks to you in your false identity. For Worship Leaders and Musicians, our ministry is visible and in front of others, therefore we will need to diligently keep our focus on our identity in Christ and refuse to look for it in what we do, or what part we play.
TRUTH - BIBLE STUDY - GOSPEL UNDERSTANDING - NARRATIVE OF SCRIPTURE
(1 Peter 2:9, 2 Cor 1:20-21, Gal 3:26-28, Rom 8:1, Eph 1:3)

Whole-Hearted.
Dallas Willard says, “What is in our heart matters more than anything else for who we become and what becomes of us.” Solomon says it this way in Proverbs 4:23 “Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.” Out of our heart flows our passions and desires. Our heart is the deepest part of us, and it is what motivates everything we do. It is the authentic, inner part of you and it comes out when you serve, lead others, and worship God. If our hearts are not in something, we just resign to going through the motions. Serving then becomes a burden instead of a joy. We must fight for a pure, whole-hearted pursuit of God.
AUTHENTICITY - PURITY - PURSUIT - PASSION
(Psalm 51:10, Psalm 103:1, Psalm 139:23, Proverbs 4:23, Mark 12:29-30)

Servant-Minded.
We are called and equipped by the Lord to serve His bride. That is why we are given gifts and talents. But, it is so easy for us to become self-centered and begin to let our preferences dictate our actions and attitude. We have an on-going, inner battle against pride. It is constantly waiting for those who do not diligently starve it and replace it with humble, servant-minded leadership. We must be committed not to seek the place of honor on the team, instead we seek to honor and serve others. We have a perfect example of humility and service in Christ. If we look to Him and follow him, we can win this battle daily.
HUMILITY - HONORING OTHERS - SERVANT LEADERSHIP - SUBMISSION
(Psalm 131, Micah 6:8, James 4:10, Phil 2:3)

Spirit-Filled.
The book of Acts is filled with evidence that things will change when the Holy Spirit is poured out. It is also true that when we surrender to the power and work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in our worship experiences, we are positioned to allow God to move in us and through us without hindrance. We surrender our plans, our gifts, our desires and they are replaced with one desire: To Glorify the Father. This is what the Holy Spirit does. He takes our talent and ability (which is actually powerless in itself), and fills it supernaturally with His power to accomplish His purposes. What a privilege it is to be invited to partner with God’s very own presence!
